IBM Teaming Agreement

12th Mar 2007 07:00

Embargoed Release: 07:00hrs Monday 12th March 2007

iPoint-media plc ("iPoint" or "the Company") IBM Teaming Agreement

iPoint , a provider of broadband 3G/IP video interactive application platforms, is pleased to announce that it has signed a teaming agreement with IBM Corporation (`IBM'). Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will act as prime contractor for the delivery of the Company's Vitrage mobile video calling solution for a major international broadcasting organisation.

This agreement is the first product of the Company's commercial base terms agreement with IBM which was signed recently. The base terms agreement is in place so that iPoint and IBM can deliver together mobile video broadcasting solutions to a variety of customers from a wide range of industries including the media sector, where significant customer interest has been generated around iPoint's Vitrage solution. Utilizing iPoint's Vitrage solution, IBM will be able to offer its customers a platform solution to enable mobile video interactivity. This capability is currently being adopted by customers within the media industry to drive an increase in audience interactivity on television programmes and a greater proportion of user generated content (`UGC') on news broadcasts and other emerging programme formats.

The iPoint solution being delivered to the broadcaster will offer a complete suite of mobile video calling capabilities to facilitate a range of novel programming platforms. The Vitrage platform will be used on a trial basis by the broadcaster and if successful will lead to a significant six figure recurring annual revenue stream for the Company. Further updates on the trial outcomes will be provided when appropriate.

Muki Geller, Chief Executive of iPoint commented:

"This teaming agreement with IBM is a major endorsement not only of our technology platform but also 3G mobile video services in general. Across many industries we are experiencing growing interest and demand for our services and our allegiance with IBM will enable us to deploy our solution to a large number of these prospective customers."
