Duncan Sutherland reappointed to HS2 Ltd board
Sigma, the residential and urban regeneration specialist, notes that Regeneration Director, Duncan Sutherland, has been reappointed as a Non-Executive Director on the board of HS2 Ltd, the company set up to deliver Britain's new north-south high speed rail link.
The full text of the announcement issued by HS2 Ltd confirming Duncan's appointment is set out below:
"Duncan Sutherland has been reappointed as a Non-Executive Director on the board of HS2 Ltd, the company set up to deliver Britain's new north-south high speed rail link.
Duncan joined the board in 2012 and has been reappointed by Transport Secretary Patrick McLoughlin for a further three year term.
Prior to joining HS2, Duncan undertook a number of senior development roles working with Local Authorities, as Director of City Development in Coventry, and as Chief Executive of the property and investment arm of the City of Edinburgh Council.
For the last 12 years, he has worked with Local Authorities and developers in his role as Regeneration Director of Sigma Capital Group to realise large scale, long term regeneration projects. He also spent eight years on the boards of British Waterways and Scottish Canals and is now on the Advisory Board for the Regeneration Investment Organisation (RIO), part of UKTI.
