HRH The Duke of Kent KG Visit Celebrates Expansion of Hayward Tyler Facilities in its Bicentennial Year
Hayward Tyler Group plc (AIM: HAYT.L), the specialist engineering group, is delighted to announce that His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent KG will today visit the Company's Luton factory to mark the formal commencement of the expansion works at the site.
Under the two year programme, capacity at Hayward Tyler's main manufacturing facility will be doubled with dedicated clean assembly areas and test pits being built specifically to cater for the civil nuclear and subsea market opportunities.
The visit of His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent KG comes as the business enters its bicentennial year. Hayward Tyler is able to trace its history back to 1815 when it began making hydraulic presses and soda water machinery.
Today, the Group designs, manufactures and services mission critical pumps that sit within power stations - both conventional and nuclear - and within the offshore operations of oil & gas producers globally. Its equipment is also used with Britain's nuclear submarine fleet.
Ewan Lloyd-Baker, CEO of Hayward Tyler, commented:
"Whilst we are exceptionally proud of our heritage, our eyes our firmly set on our future. We are therefore greatly honoured by His Royal Highness's visit today."
The latest expansion works at the Company are the result of the recently awarded £3.5million Regional Growth Fund and the management's turnaround programme over the last three years which has seen the Company returned to profitable growth.
