HomeSend partners with M-PAiSA on money transfer services
Paris: 5 December 2014
eServGlobal (AIM: ESG & ASX: ESV), the provider of end-to-end mobile financial services to emerging markets, is pleased to announce that HomeSend, a joint venture between MasterCard, eServGlobal and BICS, has signed a partnership with Vodafone Fiji's mobile money service M-PAiSA. The service targets customers who want to send money from Australia, New Zealand, Canada, America and United Kingdom to family members in Fiji.
The service is designed for families in Fiji receiving money from overseas on a regular basis. Money sent from overseas will arrive in Fijian dollar amounts directly into the receivers M-PAiSA mobile wallet. An SMS will also be simultaneously delivered to the receivers' mobile informing them that money has been sent to their M-PAiSA account. Recipients can then go to any M-PAiSA agent to withdraw their money.
HomeSend is an open B2B hub service that enables transfers between end users of different payment service providers. The HomeSend service currently enables remittances and disbursement by solving service interoperability and integrating mobile money systems of different operators.
