Fairpoint Group plc ("Fairpoint" or "the Company")

The Company was informed on 8 June 2010 that following a disposal of 500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each, K. Yirrell no longer has a notifiable interest in the share capital of Fairpoint. Prior to the transaction K Yirrell held 1,753,703 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company representing approximately 4.02% of the Company's issued share capital.
