Sale of Shares by Significant Shareholder
PureCircle Limited (PureCircle) has been advised that on 16 January 2008 Asian Investment Partners Limited (AIP) sold 1,113,571 shares in PureCircle at GBP1.73 per share through the market, thus reducing its interest in PureCircle shares from 29,340,638 (22.5%) to 28,227,067 (21.7%).
PureCircle directors Magomet Malsagov and Aslan Tomov are directors and shareholders of AIP. However, their effective interests in PureCircle shares held through AIP (14,670,319 and 4,401,096 shares respectively) remained unchanged as a consequence of the sale by AIP because simultaneous with the sale of the PureCircle shares the interests of Magomet Malsagov and Aslan Tomov in AIP increased in direct proportion to the PureCircle shares sold.
