City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading specialist asset management group offering a range of institutional products investing in closed-end funds, announces that on 10 June 2019 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 45,444 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 405 pence per share. Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,527,548 ordinary shares in the Company representing 5.8% of the Company's issued capital, of which 624,200 (2.4% of the Company's issued capital) is held in custody for employees under the terms of the Employee Incentive Plan (EIP).
