European Motor Hldgs PLC12 April 2006 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES The Company received notification on 11 April 2006 that as at the close ofbusiness on 10 April 2006, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's businessgroups and legal entities, had a material interest in 7,474,468 ordinary sharesin the Company representing 13.73 per cent of the issued share capital of thatclass and a non material interest in 949,034 ordinary shares, resulting in atotal of 8,423,502 ordinary shares representing 15.47 per cent of the issuedshare capital of that class. Of the material interest disclosed above, 5,226,106 ordinary shares representing9.60 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG London Branch and 2,248,362 ordinary shares representing 4.13 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS Global Asset Management Life Limited.
