Asia Energy PLC17 May 2006 Asia Energy PLC ("the Company") Notification of Significant Holding Under sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985("The Act") and rule 15 ofthe AIM Rules the following information falls to be disclosed: The Company was notified on 16 May 2006 that HSBC Bank plc and its direct andindirect subsidiaries no longer had a notifiable interest in the issued capitalof the Company.
