Synety Group plc (AIM: SNTY.L), was notified on 5 October 2012 that on 3 October 2012 Mellinckrodt 1 SICAV, a Luxembourg registered investment fund, purchased 338,000 ordinary shares of 20 pence each in the share capital of the Group ("Ordinary Shares"). Following this purchase, Mellinckrodt 1 SICAV holds 431,125 Ordinary Shares, representing 8.74 per cent. of the total voting rights.

Dr. Georg Oehm, non executive director of Synety, is Chairman of the Board of Mellinckrodt 1 SICAV and sits on the fund's investment committee.
