Topps Tiles PLC23 August 2006 TOPPS TILES PLC (the "Company") NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING The Company received notification on 22 August 2006 from Fidelity InternationalLimited ("FIL") that as at 21 August 2006 FIL and its direct and indirectsubsidiaries had a non-beneficial interest in 7,168,681 ordinary shares of 2.5peach ("Ordinary Shares"), equivalent to 4.22 per cent. of the Company's thenissued share capital.
