Medical Solutions PLC28 July 2005 Medical Solutions plc Notification of major interests in shares Medical Solutions plc has today received notification from Mr Sunny Varkey thathe has acquired a further 3,522,581 ordinary shares of 2 pence each,representing 1.7% of the Company's total issued ordinary share capital. Theseshares were allotted to Mr Varkey on 28 July 2005 in part settlement of theoutstanding deferred consideration relating to the acquisition of the WelcarePathology Laboratory in 2003 and have been issued pursuant to shareholderapproval granted at the Company's Extraordinary General Meeting held on 14January 2005 and renewed at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 27 June2005. As a result of this transaction, Mr Varkey's total holding is 17,587,192 shares,representing 8.6% of the Company's total issued ordinary share capital.
