City of London (LSE: CLIG), a leading emerging markets asset management group, announces that on 21 March 2017 the Company's Employee Benefit Trust purchased 25,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at a price of 385 pence per share. Following this purchase the Trust holds 1,586,135 ordinary shares in the Company representing 5.9% of the Company's issued capital.
