Weir Group PLC17 March 2005 THE WEIR GROUP PLC 17 March 2005 Fidelity International Limited of Bermuda ("Fidelity") and FMR Corp notified TheWeir Group PLC ("the Company") on 16 March 2005 that their material interest nowtotalled a holding of 24,832,829 ordinary shares in the Company representing12.01% of the Company's issued share capital as detailed in the table below andthat such notification also comprised the interest of Edward C.
