Uranium Resources PLC01 August 2006 Uranium Resources plc / Market: AIM / Epic: URA / Sector: Exploration Uranium Resources plc ('Uranium Resources' or 'the Company') Change in a Substantial Shareholders' Shareholding Uranium Resources plc announces that David Steinepreis, Gary Steinepreis andinterests associated with them (together the "Steinepreises") have completed thesale of 20,000,000 ordinary shares to Sunvest Corporation Limited ("Sunvest").The consideration paid was 1.5 pence per share. As a consequence, Sunvest becomes a substantial shareholder in the Company. Itsinterest represents approximately 9.5% of the issued capital of the Company.The Steinepreises cease to be substantial shareholders. Sunvest notified the Company on 31 July 2006 that it had completed the purchasefrom the Steinepreises. The Steinepreises notified the Company on 28 July 2006that they had completed the transfer to Sunvest. Sunvest, is an Australian Stock Exchange listed investment company, focusing oninvestments on both the Australian Stock Exchange and AIM. The managingdirector and major shareholder of Sunvest is Mr Bruce Rowan. Mr Rowan hasenjoyed success as a private investor and manager of listed investment companieson both Australian Stock Exchange and AIM.
