Mercator Gold PLC14 November 2006 Mercator Gold plc (the "Company") Holding in the Company London - Tuesday 14 November 2006 - Under sections 198 to 202 of the CompaniesAct 1985 the following information falls to be disclosed: The Company was notified on 10 November 2006 that St Barbara Limited ("SBL")ceased to have an interest in the share capital of the Company. SBL became the Company's largest shareholder at the time of the acquisition ofthe Meekatharra assets in January 2006. The shares had been held in escrow underan agreement between SBL and the Company. The Company agreed to facilitate thesale of the shares which were placed by the Company's brokers to a range ofexisting and new shareholders. Managing Director, Mr Patrick Harford said: "This sale represents a strong vote of confidence in the Company's purchase ofthe Meekatharra gold assets and substantially increases the liquidity of ourshares.
