Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") received notice today from Lloyds Banking Group Plc ("Lloyds") that Lloyds now holds 28,497,437 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 5.96% of the total voting rights of the Company.

Of the 28,497,437 ordinary shares, the Company has been advised that 0.85% comprise a direct interest in the Company's total voting rights and that 5.11% comprise an indirect interest in the Company's total voting rights.
