Holding(s) in Company

Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") received notice today from Legal & General Group Plc ("Legal & General") that Legal & General now hold 37,128,375 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 5.41% of the total voting rights of the Company.

Of the 37,128,375 ordinary shares, the Company has been advised that 34,221,893 (4.99%) comprise a direct interest in the Company's total voting rights and that 2,906,482 (0.42%) comprise an indirect interest in the Company's total voting rights.

Legal & General have also reported that their overall holding includes that of their wholly owned subsidiary, Legal & General Assurance (Pensions Management) Limited, whose holding has fallen below 5% and now comprises the 34,221,893 ordinary shares referred to above.
