UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 17 July 2008 that following a transaction on 16 July 2008 Deutsche Bank AG has a notifiable interest in 5,173,137 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 3.29% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
