Oxus Gold PLC01 March 2005 news release For immediate release: 01 March 2005 OXUS GOLD PLC HOLDINGS IN COMPANY Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or "the Company") has been notified in letters dated 28February and 1 March, pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act 1985, ofthe following changes in the ownership of shares in the Company: L-R Global Partners, L.P and L-R Global Fund Limited, have increased theirshareholding from 7,659,900 ordinary shares to 16,769,520 ordinary sharesrepresenting 6.4 per cent of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company; RAB Capital plc and its direct subsidiaries, being non-beneficial holders, nowholds 24,850,637 ordinary shares representing 9.48 per cent of the ordinaryissued share capital of the Company; Wellington Management Company and its direct subsidiaries, being non beneficialholders, now holds 15,889,500 ordinary shares representing 6.06 per cent of theordinary issued share capital of the Company.
