The Board of Elektron Plc (the 'Company' or 'Elektron') announces that it was informed on 24 October 2008 that, following a purchase of 100,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), John Kinder now holds 16,264,947 Ordinary Shares, representing 19.01 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
