FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AMLIN plc CHANGE IN EMPLOYEE SHARE OWNERSHIP TRUST HOLDING On the 2nd November 2006 each of the executive Directors of Amlin plc ("Amlin")technically ceased to be interested in a total of 10,038 ordinary shares of 25pby virtue of the Group's Employee Share Ownership Trust ("ESOT") transferringsuch shares to employees (who are not Directors of Amlin) on the exercise ofshare options. The executive Directors of Amlin are Messrs B D Carpenter, R A Hextall, A W Holtand C E L Philipps. The total number of Amlin shares that the ESOT now holds is870,101 (0.16% of the shares in issue). Note: for Companies Act purposes, the executive Directors of Amlin are deemed tohave a technical interest in the shares held by the ESOT.
