Burberry Group PLC02 September 2005 Burberry Group plc ("the Company") 2 September 2005 The Company wishes to announce that it received two notifications on 1 September2005, pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Act 1985, stating that UBS AG,acting through its business group and legal entities: a) had an interest in 15,478,921 ordinary shares of 0.05p each in thecapital of Burberry Group plc at 19 August 2005 (being 3.22% of the Company'sissued ordinary share capital); and b) ceased to have a notifiable interest in the Company's ordinary shares asat the close of business on 29 August 2005.
