Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (the "Company") received notification on 17 September 2009 that, following a purchase of ordinary shares in the Company on 16 September 2009, Barclays PLC held for the benefit of its clients, 156,865,091 voting shares in the Company representing approximately 15.41 per cent. of the Company's voting rights.
