Re: Disclosure of Interest in ASOS plc
Dear Company Secretary:
Due to a company reorganization effective 1 September 2012, Capital Group is changing the basis on which it reports relevant holdings. Instead of Capital Research and Management Company ("CRMC") and Capital Group International, Inc. ("CGII") reporting their holdings under management separately, from now on relevant holdings under management of CRMC and CGII will be reported in aggregate by the group's parent company, The Capital Group Companies, Inc. Accordingly, please find enclosed a Standard Form TR-1 dated 3 September 2012, which has been compiled on this basis.
It is solely for this reason that this notice is being made and this notice does not reflect an additional acquisition or disposal of shares. This report includes existing holdings under management of CRMC and/or CGII (whichever are applicable) which have been reported before (to the extent required under the previous arrangements).
For the purpose of this Report, the total voting rights figure of 81,524,877 shares was used to calculate the percentage of holdings. We believe this figure is current; however, if this number is not accurate, please contact us as soon as possible so we may make the necessary revisions.
