McBride PLC27 January 2006 McBride PLC ("the Company") Notification of Interest in Shares under Section 198 Companies Act 1985 McBride PLC was notified on 24 January 2006, that following a purchase byAllianz Lebensvericherungs AG ("Allianz Leben") of 925,000 ordinary shares on 19January 2006, Allianz AG and subsidiaries together with Alliaz Leben areinterested in 5,959,845 shares in the Company representing 3.36% of its ordinaryshare capital. Allianz AG is the ultimate holding company of Allianz Leben. Allianz Leben is adirect subsidiary of Jota Vermogensverwaltungs GmbH ("Jota") , which is itself adirect subsidiary of Allianz AG. As a result of s203(2) of the Act. Jota andAllianz AG are interested in the ordinary shares in which Allianz Leben areinterested.
