European Motor Hldgs PLC01 February 2005 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS PLC (the "Company") Holding in Company The Company received notification on 31 January 2005 that as at the close ofbusiness on 27 January 2005, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's businessgroups and legal entities, had a material interest in 6,999,670 ordinary sharesin the Company representing 13.1 per cent of the issued share capital of thatclass and a non material interest in 1,084,887 ordinary shares, resulting in atotal of 8,084,557 ordinary shares representing 15.17 per cent of the issuedshare capital of that class. Of the material interest disclosed above, 3,524,700 ordinary shares representing6.61 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS Global AssetManagement Life Limited, and 3,474,970 ordinary shares representing 6.52 percent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG London Branch.
