UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 21 October 2008 that following transactions on 17, 20 and 21 October 2008 Goodweather Holdings Limited has increased its notifiable interest to 40,883,000 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 26.0189% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
