Significant Shareholding
The Board of Elektron announces that it was informed on 10 October 2008 that, following a purchase of 525,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the capital of the Company ('Ordinary Shares'), the personal pension fund of Mr. Andrew Perloff now holds 5,535,909 Ordinary Shares, representing 6.47 percent of the issued share capital of the Company.
Panther Securities Plc, of which Mr. Perloff is a shareholder and chairman, also holds 10,750,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 12.56 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
Accordingly, Mr. Andrew Perloff is interested in a total holding of 16,285,909 ordinary shares, or 19.03 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.
