Hill & Smith Holdings PLC ('Hill & Smith' or the 'Company') announces that it was notified on 9 August 2012 that Mr C J Snowdon, a person discharging managerial responsibilities of Hill & Smith, has purchased 5,000 ordinary shares in the Company at 325.00 pence per share. This transaction was effected on 9 August 2012 on the London Stock Exchange.

Following this purchase, Mr Snowdon is beneficially interested in 38,930 ordinary shares in the Company.
