Standard Chartered PLC18 August 2006 Standard Chartered PLC (the "Company") was notified on 17 August 2006 by TemasekHoldings (Private) Limited ("Temasek") on behalf of itself, Fullerton ManagementPte Ltd and Dover Investments Pte Ltd under the Companies Act 1985 that theparticulars contained in their notification to the Company dated 27 March 2006as updated by their notification dated 20 July 2006 have changed and theidentity of the registered holder of the 152,399,222 ordinary shares to whichthose notifications related is now Nortrust Nominees Limited.
