Games Workshop Group PLC25 January 2006 Games Workshop Group PLC (the "Company") The Company received notification on 25 January 2006 that Schroder InvestmentManagement Limited ("SIML"), have an interest in 3,825,541 ordinary shares of 5pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") which are held in portfoliosmanaged on a discretionary basis for clients of SIML under investment managementagreements. Included in this figure are: (i) 2,016,132 Ordinary Shares held in (a) unit trust(s) operated and managed by an affiliated company, Schroder Unit Trusts Limited ("SUTL"), and registered or to be registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited, (ii) 200,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase Manhattan Bank, (iii)687,177 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of British Coal Staff Superannuation a/c: P, (iv) 722,232 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Mineworkers' Pension Scheme a/c: R, and (vi) 200,000 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited. A subsidiary, Schroder Investment Management North America Ltd ("SIMNA Ltd"), ismanaging (a) portfolio(s) on a similar basis holding a further 143,434 OrdinaryShares. These Ordinary Shares are registered or are to be registered in the nameof Chase Nominees Limited. SIML and their affiliated companies are therefore interested in 3,968,975Ordinary Shares in aggregate, representing approximately 12.75 per cent. of theCompany's issued share capital. This notification is made: (a) in respect of SIML's interest as investment managers, (b) on behalf of SUTL and SIMNA Ltd in relation to the interest it is treated as having under the Companies Act 1985 (the "Act"), and (c) on behalf of Schroders plc, SIML's holding company, which is treated as having an interest in all of the above shares under the Act by virtue of its ownership of SIMNA Ltd, SUTL and SIML.
