Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")The Company has been notified that the Trustees of Cable and Wireless plcEmployee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") has made the following disposals : * 2,292 Ordinary Shares on 14 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.085 per share; * 14,238 Ordinary Shares on 18 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.0775 per share; * 250,000 Ordinary Shares on 19 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.0825 per share; * 27,265 Ordinary Shares on 20 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.1325 per share; * 1,461,490 Ordinary Shares on 28 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.126429 per share; * 2,578,405 Ordinary Shares on 28 July 2006 at a price of ‚£1.1475 per share; * 7,814 Ordinary Shares on 1 August 2006 at a price of ‚£1.1475 per share; and * 74,452 Ordinary Shares on 1 August 2006 at a price of ‚£1.1425 per share. Following the disposals, 44,695,130 Ordinary Shares are currently held underthe Trust.
