- Notification of Major Interest in Shares
Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad
On 20 May 2009, the Company received notification, under the obligations imposed by Section DTR5 of the FSA's Disclosure & Transparency Rules, from Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad ("Hong Leong Co.") that, as at 18 May 2009, Hong Leong Co. had a notifiable interest in the voting rights attached to 106,457,918 ordinary 13 8/9p shares representing 27.00% of the total voting rights in The Rank Group Plc.
Notes
The voting rights in the Shares are held by Asia Fountain Investment Company Limited ("AFI"). AFI is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Equity Assets Limited, which is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Group Limited ("GGL"). GGL is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Overseas Limited which is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Capital Assets Limited ("GCAL"). GCAL is a controlled undertaking of Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad.
