Independent Resources PLC15 September 2006 Independent Resources plc (the "Company") Notification of substantial shareholding The Company today received notification that funds under the discretionarymanagement of Matterhorn Investment LLP hold an interest in 4,416,667 ordinaryshares of 1p each of the Company representing approximately 13.2 per cent. ofthe Company's issued share capital. Included in that amount is an interest of The Palmyra Fund in 3,681,842 ordinaryshares of 1p each of the Company representing 11.0 per cent. of the Company'sissued share capital. None of the interests are by virtue of such an interest as is mentioned insection 208(5) of the Companies Act 1985.
