Rank Group PLC23 November 2006 The Rank Group Plc - Notification of Major Interest in Shares (1.) On 23 November 2006, the Company received notification from BriTel Fund Trustees Limited (for Trustees of BT Pension Scheme - see Note below), under the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985 that, as at 22 November 2006, it had a notifiable interest in 27,254,506 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank Group Plc (registered, or to be registered in the names set out in the Schedule below) representing 5.03% of the issued share capital of The Rank Group Plc. On 23 November 2006, the Company received notification from Hermes Focus Asset Management Limited and Hermes SLP Limited (see Note above), under the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985 that, as at 22 November 2006, they had a notifiable interest in 16,442,066 Ordinary 10p shares of The Rank Group Plc (registered, or to be registered in the names set out in the Schedule below) representing 3.04% of the issued share capital of The Rank Group Plc.
