The Board of Vyke Communications plc announces that on 21 January 2009 it was informed by Lloyds Banking Group plc that following the acquisition by Lloyds Banking Group plc of HBOS plc the Direct and Indirect interests are now as follows:

Therefore, the total number of voting rights totals 4,280,787, with voting rights totalling 8.488 per cent.
The chain of controlled undertakings through which the voting rights and/or the financial instruments are effectively held is as follows:
3,934,844 shares (7.802%) are under the control of Insight Investment Management (Global) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Insight Investment Management Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS Insurance & Investment Group Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group plc (Indirect Interests). Within these holdings 2,118,951 shares (4.202%) are managed on behalf of Clerical Medical Managed Funds Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Clerical Medial Investment Group Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS Financial Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS Insurance & Investment Group Limited a wholly owned subsidiary of HBOS plc, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lloyds Banking Group plc, and are therefore disclosed as an overall Direct Interest.
Further, the Company has today been informed by AXA S.A and its Group Companies that following an acquisition on 14 January 2009, it is now indirectly interested in 7,082,718 ordinary shares, representing 14.04% indirect voting rights. The identity of the registered holder to which this notice relates, so far as is known to AXA Investment Managers UK Limited, as at 14 January 2009, is AXA Framlington.
