Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (the "Company") received notification on 17 August 2009 that, following a purchase of ordinary shares in the Company on 14 August 2009, Barclays PLC held for the benefit of its clients, 93,516,708 voting shares in the Company representing approximately 10.07 per cent. of the Company's voting rights.
