Weir Group PLC10 February 2006 THE WEIR GROUP PLC 10 February 2006 Fidelity International Limited ('FIL') and FMR Corp notified The Weir Group PLC("the Company") on 10 February 2006 that their material interest now totalled aholding of 19,583,550 ordinary shares in the Company representing 9.54% of theCompany's issued share capital as detailed in the table below, and that suchnotification also comprised the interest of Edward C. Johnson III as a principalshareholder of Fidelity and FMR Corp. The notification of change is due to the purchase of 3,441,958 ordinary shares.
