For immediate release: 12 September 2006 Northern Petroleum Plc ("the Company") Notification of Shareholding The Board of Northern Petroleum Plc received notification on 8 September fromCredit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited ("CSSEL") that, as a result of thedisposal of 2,478,654 ordinary shares during May, CSSEL currently has aninterest in 2,503,654 ordinary shares of the Company.
