Petroceltic International plc('Petroceltic' or the 'Company')

The Company received a notification on April 27th 2010 from Capital Research & Management Company (CRMC) stating that CRMC has an interest in and is the registered holder of 165,108,652 ordinary shares which represents 8.20% per cent* of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

We have been further notified that of this interest, 137,014,652 shares are held on behalf of CRMC by Smallcap World Fund, Inc.

* This percentage shareholding is based on a shares in issue figure of 2,011,555,049ordinary shares.
