Balfour Beatty PLC10 February 2005 Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") received notice from Fidelity Investmentstoday that that consequent upon disposals of the Company's ordinary shares, thenon-beneficial interest of Fidelity International Limited ("FIL") and its directand indirect subsidiaries in the ordinary share capital of the Company is nolonger notifiable, as it now represents less than 3% of such capital. This alsoapplies to the previously notifiable interest of Mr Edward C. Johnson III,principal shareholder of FIL.
