The TR-1 notification below announces that GAM London Limited has disposed of 6,133,470 of its shares in Vernalis plc (including shares held by it as discretionary manager). GAM London Limited now holds 80,661,637 shares (including shares held as discretionary manager) representing 18.245% of Vernalis' share capital.
GAM London Limited as discretionary manager holds shares in Vernalis plc through St James's Place Recovery Unit Trust (REC) and a number of other funds. The disclosure on behalf of REC was triggered due to this sale of 6,133,470 shares of Vernalis plc on behalf of REC.

This sale reduced REC's holding in Vernalis plc from 11.048% to 9.661%, it also reduced GAM London Limited's overall holding in Vernalis plc from 19.632% to 18.245%.
