British Land Co PLC13 January 2005 The British Land Company PLC announces that it received the followingnotification on 12th January 2005, pursuant to sections 198-202 of the CompaniesAct 1985: That FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and FidelityInternational Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries are interested in31,107,032 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 6.00% of the total issuedordinary share capital of the Company.
