Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") has received notice from M & G Investment Management Limited, on behalf of the Prudential plc group of companies ("Prudential") and its certain of its subsidiary companies, informing the Company that Prudential (through Prudential plc, M&G Group Limited, M&G Limited and M&G Investment Management Limited) now holds an overall interest in 40,072,886 50p Ordinary Shares in the Company, comprising 5.81% of the Company's total voting rights.
