Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (the "Company") received notification on 25 August 2009 that, following a purchase of ordinary shares in the Company on 20 August 2009, Barclays PLC held for the benefit of its clients, 103,672,936 voting shares in the Company representing approximately 11.16 per cent. of the Company's voting rights.
