AMEC PLC11 November 2005 AMEC plc 11 November 2005 Pursuant to our obligations under the Listing Rules, we hereby advise you thatwe have today received a notification from Morgan Stanley Securities Limited("MSSL") stating that, on 9 November 2005, they and the group companies whichare direct or indirect holding companies of MSSL disposed of an interest thatresulted in their holding a notifiable interest of 19,520,713 shares in theCompany, representing 5.86% of the issued share capital of AMEC plc. MSSL state that the interest in 11,391,637 of these shares is pursuant toSection 208(5) of the Companies Act 1985. MSSL had previously notified an interest of 21,369,685 ordinary shares on 8November 2005, which at that time represented 6.42% of the issued share capitalof AMEC plc.
