Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") received notice today from Lloyds Banking Group Plc ("Lloyds") that Lloyds now holds 23,877,661 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 4.98% of the total voting rights of the Company.

Of the 23,877,661 ordinary shares, the Company has been advised that 0.70% comprise a direct interest in the Company's total voting rights and that 4.28% comprise an indirect interest in the Company's total voting rights.
