Akers Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKER) (AIM: AKR.L), ("Akers Bio" or the "Company"), a developer of rapid health information technologies, announces that, on December 31, 2017, the following connected entities held the following interests in the Company's common shares as stated on Form 13G/A Statement of Ownership filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "Form"):

Empery Asset Master, Ltd - 913,257 common shares

Empery Tax Efficient II, LP - 1,252,011 common shares

Empery Asset Management - 2,491,591 common shares

This represented an aggregate holding of 4,656,859 common shares, representing approximately 12.4 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company as at December 31, 2017, being the date of the event which required the filing of the Form.
