Interests in the Ordinary Shares of Cable and Wireless plc ("the Company")The Company has been notified that the Trustees of Cable and Wireless plcEmployee Share Ownership Trust ("the Trust") made the following disposal on 2August 2006 * 1,778 Ordinary Shares at a price of ‚£1.1475 per share. Following the disposals, 44,693,352 Ordinary Shares are currently held underthe Trust. George Battersby, Tony Rice, John Pluthero and Harris Jones (allbeing directors of Cable and Wireless plc) in their capacity as members of theclass of beneficiaries under the Trust and Towers Perrin Share Plan Services(GSY) Limited in their capacity as Trustees of the Trust are deemed to have anon-beneficial interest in these Ordinary Shares.No Directors are disposing of any beneficial interests in the Company.ENDCable & Wireless PLCRelated Shares:
